Inspiration
As I strolled along Marina Bay with my family, enjoying the beautiful scenery and bustling atmosphere, I suddenly felt a strong craving for my all-time favourite snack - The Crispy Crepes. Thin, crispy and perfectly golden-brown, there were the ultimate indulgence. But here in Singapore, finding a version that lived up to my expectations was a bit of a challenge. Crispy crepes aren't as popular here as they are in Thailand, and I couldn't help but feel pang of nostalgia for the flavours of my childhood.

For those unfamiliar with crispy crepes, they offer a unique experience that doesn't quite fit into any food category. Made fresh to order, they come in both sweet and savoury versions and can be topped with just about any ingredients, making them a blank canvas for endless flavour combinations. The crispy crepes texture provides a satisfying crunch, while the delicate flavours of the filling burst in your mouth with each bite. Whether you prefer a classic combination like egg and sausages or a more adventurous twist like banana and Nutella, the crispy crepes offer something for everyone.

It was this love for crispy crepes that inspired me to bring them to Singapore. I believe crispy crepes have the potential to become a beloved snack among Singaporeans. While there are some versions of crepes available in Singapore, I noticed that they were often softer versions. After months of experimenting and perfecting my recipe, I am ready to introduce Singaporeans to the unique flavour and texture of crispy crepes and offer new culinary experience to those who have not yet discovered this delicious treat!
